Director and producer Edina Csyllög of Hungarian origin living in Estonia was born on March 26, 1979, in Budapest. In 1995-1996, he was an exchange student at the Gustav Adolf Gymnasium in Tallinn as part of the YFU program. He has studied Estonian philology at the Hungarian State University ELTE, being an exchange student of Finnish literature in 2000 at the University of Helsinki and in 2003 as an exchange student of the Bilateral Program at the University of Tartu. In 2006, he acquired professional video and film skills at Polifilm in Hungary. Csyllög has three master's degrees: from the National University of Hungary in 2007 in Hungarian philology and literature, in 2008 in psychology, and 2013 in film directing from the Baltic Film and Media School. In terms of film, Csyllog improved his skills in the spring semester of 2010 at Beykent University in Istanbul, and in the same year participated in the Nisi Masa European Short Pitch development program with his project "Butterfly" and in 2011 at the Four Corners Script Developing Workshop with the project "Desperate Mermaid". Edina Csyllög has worked as an editor, director, and screenwriter for Hungarian and Estonian production companies (LUXFILM, Nafta Films, Aqris, Radio C, City TV, Domino TV), worked as a freelance translator (Czopyk and Társa BT, Hungarian Court of Justice, Goethe Institute Budapest, Diotima BT, Ludwig Museum) and as a film trainer (MTÜ - Life Zone Group, Nisi Masa Estonia), in 2013 as a liberal arts lecturer at Tartu High School of Arts, organized several cultural events, such as the Hungarian Film Days in Tartu and the Finnish-Ugrian film festival Misso (fuff.ee). Csyllög is the founder and board member of the NGO Nisi Masa Estonia.
