I would call myself a body-culturist - the fact that we have a body is a miracle and everything related to it has interested me - movement, music, speech, food, breathing, etc. I have been skiing for as long as I can remember, mostly downhill. The friendships that started on the ski hill have led me to tennis, windsurfing sailing, and physical education studies at Tallinn University. Later, golf, cross-country skiing, roller skating, cycling, and multi-hiking were added. I have also competed in all these fields and I have been more interested in the process than the result, so I never trained, I just did what I loved the most - the essence was important.
Regarding so-called work I should confess the same - I have rarely worked, I enjoyed what I did and I have experienced workoholism too. I have studied construction and have built some houses, I was a roadie for a famous band, coach-manager-racer for the national alpine team, and then longest career - distributor of sports goods from France, Italy, and Norway for 2 decades, which means being spoiled of sales and marketing. So… be careful, You are warned!
This summer, a life-changing meeting with an old friend Alar happened at the Pärnu Yacht Club at the end of August, where the Dragons were just lifted out of the water after the Estonian Championships. Dozens of familiar tanned faces, 5 hours of talking with friends, some of whom I hadn't seen for 30 years. Having admired the Dragon's slender body here and there for decades, it had never occurred to me to mess something up with this royal maid, there were no thoughts in that direction. And now I'm slowly getting a full-body feeling… that's just for me who hadn't been on a yacht in 12 years. I even said it - I just became a Dragon Rider.
It went on quickly, 3 training sessions and participation in the stage of the Estonian Championships with Alar and a new friend Andrus, and a couple of competitions as a crewman on other boats. Already in mid-summer, I had noticed an advertisement for the sale of a wooden Dragon on Lake Garda and got an idea that it is not cosmos, and as I also rode on a wooden boat once… I got a feeling, if one of my own it would be the wooden one. And then a message came from Alar that there was a nice one available in Denmark. And so it went, here we are now…
